Since moving to the island in 2004 we have been really busy - we have set up our own business, refurbished our whole house and arranged our wedding! Being new to the island we had to find a whole host of people to help us and places from which to source good products - from accountants to builders to plasterers to bathroom suites to photographers... it's been endless!

Finding these products and services has been a case of trial and error and, looking back, the best businesses were those that had been recommended to us by someone. Playing eenie, meenie, miney, mo with the phone book is all a bit risky.

This is the idea behind Wightpages.co.uk. We started this website by recommending the businesses that we were pleased with and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. We then asked friends and family on the island to do the same, and Wightpages was born.
